Mr. Tin Chanthavilai

Mr. Tin Chanthavilay is a licensed Lao lawyer and a dedicated legal practitioner with a strong commitment to access to justice, particularly for vulnerable groups such as women and children. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Judicial Law from the Northern Law College under the Ministry of Justice, Lao PDR (2009–2014) and went on to complete a comprehensive training program at the National Institute of Justice in 2015, equipping him with practical expertise in the roles of lawyer. In 2025, he earned a Master of Law in Judicial Law from the National University of Laos, further enhancing his academic and professional foundation.

 

In 2017, Mr. Tin officially became a member of the Lao Bar Association. His passion for legal education and social justice led to his appointment as a Trainer for the Lao Bar Association in 2024, focusing on pro bono legal aid for women and children. He was also appointed as an Assistant Trainer at the Lao National Institute of Justice in 2018, where he continues to support the development of young legal professionals.

 

Mr. Tin has expanded his legal perspective through international exposure, participating in the Mekong Legal Advocacy Institute (MLAI) in 2017 and the BABSEACLE Access to Justice Program in 2016. These experiences have further deepened his understanding of regional human rights issues and community legal empowerment.

 

As a co-founder and Managing Director of KT Law Consulting Co., Ltd., Mr. Tin brings a wealth of experience and a strong ethical foundation to the firm. His practice is grounded in public service, legal training, and strategic litigation, ensuring that clients benefit not only from his legal expertise but also from his unwavering commitment to justice.
